Travis won motocross, the X Games, and even turned into a regular on the Jackass series during the course of his decades-long career in the world of motorsports.

At the age of 39, he made the decision to put his motorcycle aside, sit behind the wheel, and attempt the most prestigious auto race in the US: NASCAR.

Regardless of his history, fans were suspicious of how someone joining the game so late would perform. But Pastrana has shown that, if he wants to, he can succeed in NASCAR.

In his first Daytona 500, Travis Pastrana left a memorable impression.

The motocross veteran maintained his position and even took the lead on one of the laps in his 23XI Racing Toyota, which was sponsored by Black Rifle Coffee Company.

The previous Friday, in the NextEra Energy 250 of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, he got his racing passions going. This was his second time battling behind the wheel (outside of rallies).

With a field of 42 participants, Pastrana came in 10th position at the Daytona 500. He even told reporters: "I led a lap!" after the race as he was so happy.
