When imprisoned in Russia, Brittney Griner lost a whole year of her career. She has a three-word message for the WNBA as a whole, her supporters, and her team today.

Griner decided to continue her career in the city she has called home for the past ten years by signing a one-year contract to join the Phoenix Mercury over the weekend.

Griner has spent her entire playing career in Phoenix, where she has appeared on seven All-Star teams and won a title in 2014.

The Mercury will undoubtedly be overjoyed to see Griner return after a hit-and-miss season. On the final day of the regular season, they earned the final playoff slot, finishing eighth in the WNBA.
