Ryan Keeler, a sophomore defensive lineman at UNLV, passed away

The sophomore's passing was announced Monday night. Keeler's passing was verified by The Las Vegas Review-Journal, and Nazareth Academy, where he had attended high school, expressed their sorrow.

"There are no words. Our hearts are heavy," Nazareth Academy Football wrote on Twitter. "God bless the Keeler family. We love you, Ryan."

Last season, Keeler, a transfer from Rutgers, made eight tackles and one sack in two games for the Rebels. It is unknown what caused his death.
