The team's top defender is now giving a loud and clear message to everyone in response to the subsequent hiring of Sean Payton

During a recent event for his foundation, Broncos All-Pro cornerback Patrick Surtain II declared that the Payton hire was "great" and that he looks forward to working with him.

He said that Payton's resume, winning attitude, leadership, and Super Bowl history give him confidence that the team will win immediately

“Sean Payton, I believe, is a great hire and I can’t wait to get to work with him,” Surtain said, via The Denver Post. “I think he’ll provide the team with what’s necessary, which is a winning culture in the organization.

He Continued, His resume speaks for itself. He’s a guy that can give you Super Bowls, can give you that winning attitude, the leadership qualities that you look for in a head coach. I’m really excited.”

With a club that now appears to be built for success, Payton joins the Broncos. There were a lot of things to take away despite the results they had last season.

One of the defense's many shining lights, Patrick Surtain was selected to the Pro Bowl and received All-Pro recognition. On a defense that this past season limited 10 opponents to 20 points or fewer, he was the top defender.
