2019 Chiefs player McCoy criticized Bieniemy on FS1 on Monday, claiming he won't succeed in his new position as the team's assistant coach.

"What’s his value? What makes him a good offensive coordinator? The problem is, a lot of these people that go on social media, ‘He should be the guy for the job,’ they haven’t played there,” McCoy said.

“I’ve been in the rooms where he’s coaching and he has nothing to do with the passing game at all. When the plays are designed, that’s Andy Reid."

When questioned about McCoy's remarks, Bieniemy chose the high road, referring to him as a potential Hall of Famer and asserting that he is free to voice his feelings.

"He's entitled to his own opinion. That's life," Bieniemy said. "You got good and you have bad. It does not impact me in any way."
