Beverley was traded by the Los Angeles Lakers to the Orlando Magic during the trade deadline in exchange for big Mo Bamba and a second-round draught pick. After that, he had agreed to a buyout with the Magic.

This season, Beverley started all 45 games for the Lakers and averaged 6.4 points on 40% field goal shooting. Also, he averaged 3.1 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game.

He now returns to Chicago, where a squad is in need of a point guard. Lonzo Ball, the team's starting point guard, has missed every game thus far this season due to a knee injury.

Beverley's style does not include scoring 25 or 30 points each game or dishing out 6 or 7 assists every contest.

He is, however, one of the league's best defenders and will add additional toughness to any locker room. The Bulls will receive it.
