Gerad Parker was appointed offensive coordinator, Notre Dame announced on Saturday morning. He served as the Fighting Irish's tight ends coach for the entire 2022 campaign.

Earlier this week, there were rumors that Parker might be given a promotion. He obviously made an impression on the staff last season.

Marcus Freeman, the head coach at Notre Dame, is optimistic that Parker can help his offense "flourish."

Parker served as West Virginia's offensive coordinator before joining Notre Dame's coaching staff. He has worked as the wide receivers coach at Penn State.
