Although the head coaching carousel has come to an end, Eric Bieniemy is still a "top prospect" for a position in the NFL.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Bieniemy will interview on Thursday for the post of offensive coordinator with the Washington Commanders. He is apparently one of two candidates that are running for the job right now.

Bieniemy, who has been the offensive coordinator for the Kansas City Chiefs since 2018, recently assisted the squad in winning its second Super Bowl in the previous five seasons.

Over the previous few years, he has conducted interviews for more than a dozen head coaching openings, including one with the Indianapolis Colts during this hiring cycle.

Scott Turner, the Commanders' previous offensive coordinator, was fired at the conclusion of the regular season after serving in that capacity for three years.
