One significant non-conference series between two universities has been terminated.

On Wednesday night, Ohio State decided to end the home-and-home series with Washington that had been planned and announced in 2017. In the series, the Huskies traveled to Columbus Stadium in 2015, while the Buckeyes visited Husky Stadium in 2024.

"We initiated the cancellation," Smith said. "I have the utmost respect for the University of Washington and for Director of Athletics Jennifer Cohen, and this was a very difficult call to make.
