Kyle Jacobs, a well-known songwriter, producer of country music, and singer Kellie Picklers’ husband passed away at the age of 49.

According to Nashville police Jacobs appeared to have committed suicide on Friday in their Nashville home.

The Nashville Department of Emergency Communications reports that a 911 call was made on Friday at 1:21 pm local time.

Police and members of the Nashville Fire Department arrived at Pickler and Jacobs' residence on Sneed Road.

According to a police statement, Pickler informed officers that when she first woke up, she did not see her spouse and instantly started searching for him.

The report further stated that when Pickler and her personal assistant were unable to open the upper bedroom/office door, they called authorities.
