Kansas Football Announces Significant Changes
Plans for major improvements to Kansas' football grounds were made public.
The team's weight facility and locker area are undergoing renovations, according to the school. On Monday, April 10, renovations will start, and they should be finished by July.
"This is another sign of the institution’s commitment to providing the very best resources available for our football program,"
"There is still much work to be done, and there is intense planning and preparation happening behind the scenes. But today is a day of celebration and a true indicator that we are all-in on making Kansas Football an elite program nationally."
Kansas intends to add "super custom" padded chairs made specifically for football players and increase the dressing room's size from 6,000 to 8,000 square feet.
A school logo with lightning having various settings for game days and recruiting trips is also being installed on the roof.
A 15,000 square-foot weight area will have force plates and other tools for strength training as part of "a significant investment into sports science."
