Jon Rahm won the Genesis Invitational on Sunday, climbing to the top of the world rankings with a performance that proved he is the golfer of the year.

According to ESPN Stats & Information analysis, Rahm will hold the top spot this coming week for the 44th time overall, tying Nick Price for the 11th most times ever.

"I don't need a ranking to validate anything," Rahm said. "Having the best season of my life, and hopefully, I can keep it going."
