Jim Harbaugh's Shocking Announcement
Head coach Jim Harbaugh of the Michigan Wolverines made an intriguing statement regarding a crucial position as the team continues to prepare for the 2023 college football season.
This week, Harbaugh told the reporters that Amorion Walker, a sophomore defensive back, has really stuck out in practise. Walker has earned the right to be regarded as a starting, in his opinion.
“I consider him a starter right now based on first two practices,”
How fast Harbaugh was prepared to name Walker as the starter astounded and impressed football supporters. Some assume he must be particularly talented if he is already sticking out in practise.
In 2022, Michigan's defence was already quite excellent. Up until their devastating defeat to TUC, they didn't give up more than 27 points, holding 10 opponents to 17 points or fewer.
Amorion Walker, who graduated from high school last year, was not among the best 500 athletes according to 247Sports. He did play wide receiver last year, recording one catch for four yards.
But if his skillset translates into playing cornerback, he could be built in the same mold as Sauce Gardner - a tall cornerback whose long arms allow him to make plays on the ball easier.
Will Amorion Walker be a breakout player for the Wolverines defense in 2023?
