Olsen is fully aware of the promise FOX made to Tom Brady when it signed the storied quarterback to a rumored 10-year, $375 million contract in 2022.

Brady has stated that he won't start his broadcasting career until 2024, but when he does, it's anticipated that he'll take Olsen's spot as the network's primary commentator

When asked about his future in the booth at a recent event in Charlotte, Olsen said that he doesn't intend to leave his job subtly.

"I have to compete against quarterbacks and Hall of Famers, all, the guys that are coming for the job that I have. Tom Brady, I'm sure you read those news articles last week," Olsen said.

He Continued, "But my answer every time was, I have all the respect in the world for Tom Brady. Who doesn't, right? He's the greatest, I get it, I understand why they went after him. But I'm not going to roll over and die.

"I’m willing to do what these guys aren’t willing to do. Until they kick me out, I’m gonna sit there and do it. Maybe he [Brady] does come and take my job one day; I can live with that; I get it. I understand the rules that we all sign up for."

If Brady takes Olsen's place in the booth, it's been said that his income will decrease from $10 million to $3 million annually
