Emotional  Message By Tom Izzo

At Michigan State, Tom Izzo has triumphed in many significant contests, but perhaps none was more passionate than the game against Indiana last night

After last week's devastating campus murder, Michigan State defeated the 17th-ranked Hoosiers 80-65 in their first home game.

At the conclusion of the contest, an emotional Izzo could be seen fighting back emotions. He tweeted a sincere greeting to the Spartan community on Wednesday in the late afternoon

"From the Izzone to our regular students, to all the people in our community who were at the game, I just want to say thank you," Izzo said in the video.

"I want to let you know that there is no way when that game started that we could have won that game without you."

The on-campus murder last Monday night claimed the lives of three Michigan State students and wounded five more. Anthony McRae, the 43-year-old shooter, ultimately committed suicide.

Before last night's game at the Breslin Center, there was a minute of respect for the fatalities, and MSU and Indiana both donned "Spartan Strong" warmup shirts.
