A year prior to Olivia Newton-John's passing, Dolly Parton and the late singer teamed up for a potent duet, which is now being made public.

According to USA TODAY, the Grease star will eventually release a 17-track album titled Just the Two of Us on May 5 that would only feature duets and collaborations.

One of the songs on the CD is Dolly and Olivia's cover of "Jolene," which was simply made available to the general audience.

"I am so excited to be working with Olivia Newton-John, one of my favorites of all time. We've always stayed close through the years and I am just so proud to be a part of this duet project that she's doing," Parton said.

"We're singing one of the all-time favorites that I've written called 'Jolene,' and she says it's one of her favorites, so why not just do a duet on our favorite?" She added.

Olivia lost her battle with breast cancer in August 2022.

When she passed away, Parton posted on social media, "So happy that our lives crossed paths. I know her voice is singing beautifully with the angels."
