Brittney Griner's statement drew attention to the sports world

Earlier this week, WNBA commissioner Cathy Englebert provided an update on basketball star Brittney Griner.

In an appearance on CNN, Englebert says Griner is "doing remarkably well." The commissioner explained that Griner has already started to train for the upcoming season as a member of the Phoenix Mercury.
