Approaching The Transfer Portal Is Lsu Safety

Before the 2023 college football season, LSU safety Michael Daugherty intends to join the NCAA transfer site, he said in a statement posted on Twitter on Saturday.

Daugherty didn't stay in Baton Rouge for very long. In actuality, the 2023 class of Brian Kelly's signed on with the three-star prospect.

"Becoming a Tiger was a blessing and I am thankful for the opportunity to meet great coaches, people, and teammates.

I will always  value the memories, teaching, and traits of excellence created," the freshman wrote. "... Respect my decision to withdraw from LSU and enter the transfer portal."

This transfer choice is representative of the new transfer site movement. Daugherty made the decision to leave LSU without ever playing a single snap on the field.

On April 13, 2022, Daugherty made a commitment to Kelly's initiative.
