Andy Reid's Controversial Opinion Draws Interest From NFL World

By Nandini Sharma

The cast of First Take made predictions about Eric Bieniemy's NFL future during this Wednesday's episode. During this conversation, Stephen A. Smith uttered an outrageous opinion about Andy Reid, the head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs.

Because Reid is in charge of calling offensive plays in the NFL, Smith believes Reid is costing Bieniemy a head coaching position.

"Andy Reid has cost Eric Bieniemy a head coaching job in the National Football League," Smith said. "We don't want to say it, but it's true.”

He added, “Here's the reason why: Even though you’re the head, you don’t have to call plays, you chose to. Andy Reid not only called some plays, he made sure we knew he called plays. The NFL community knew he called plays."

Reid has praised Bieniemy's coaching abilities for years. Why is he supposed to be blamed for making his offensive coordinator lose his job?

"No he’s not," one fan said. "Other OCs working under Andy Reid have gotten head coaching jobs."

Let's not forget that Matt Nagy and Doug Pederson worked as offensive coordinators for Reid prior to taking the helm as head coaches in the NFL.
